Abstract: Constructivism theory emphasizes the active role of students in the learning process to create
knowledge for themselves. This initiative is reflected in the fact that students are placed in situations
where they find it necessary, capable, and need to solve the given problem. Through problem-solving,
students create knowledge for themselves. In this paper, we present the concept of constructivist-based
teaching and types of constructivism; analyze the role of constructivist-based in teaching Math, and
propose some design principles and processes of lesson design according to constructivist theory. |
