Abstract: This study is necessary to research the impact of spatial structure on Covid-19 based on a statement
stating that population density and mobility affect the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic virus. Indeed,
population density and mobility are essential indicators of spatial structure. This study aims to analyze
the spatial structure of the Medan Helvetia Sub-District and examine the relationship between the
influence of the spatial structure on the rate of Covid-19 virus spread in the Medan Helvetia SubDistrict. The method used in this research is the qualitative method. The primary data sources are
obtained through field observations and distributing questionnaires to respondents using the purposive
sampling method. Meanwhile, the researcher obtained secondary data from literature related to the
research object and The Medan City Regional Spatial Plan for 2010-2030. The result obtained is the
discovery or absence of the spatial structure influence on the rate of Covid-19 virus spread in the
Medan Helvetia Sub-District.
