Abstract: While critical thinking has been studied extensively with many approaches around the world, in
Vietnam, understanding and applying critical thinking in general as well as in specific fields are still
limited. This article studies the situation of developing critical thinking competency in teaching
reading comprehension of literary texts to students. On that basis, Toulmin’s argument model is
proposed as a tool for building a system of questions to develop critical thinking competency in
teaching reading comprehension. |
