Abstract: The study investigated the impact of cooperative society in improving small and medium scale
enterprise in Ekiti State, Nigeria. The empirical investigation made use of Descriptive and Linear
Regression Analysis. The study employed Small and Medium Enterprise (SME's) as Dependent
variable, and Loan extension, Financial Regulation and Cooperative Society as Independent Variables.
The finding revealed that there is a positive relationship between loan extension, Cooperative Society,
and the growth of SME's, but a negative relation between Financial Regulation and the SME's. The
study recommended that the government should relax its financial regulations against the SME's in
terms of having access to loans at a less stringent condition in order to boost the enterprise. |
