Title: PERMANENT LANGUAGE LEARNING IN ENGLISH |
Authors: Merrilee Brinegar |
Abstract: This paper presents a brief overview of Seligman’s PERMA framework (positive emotions,
engagement, relationships, meaning, and accomplishment) and provides suggestions for its
implementation for teaching English as a second language. Practical strategies for each of the five
components of the PERMA model are presented, including gratitude exercises, activities for building
rapport, goal-setting practices, and creating content that is meaningful to learners. |
