Abstract: Depressive disorders in developmental age represent a significant healthcare challenge, both for the
growing prevalence and for the clinical and psychosocial peculiarities. This issue is connected to the
problem of emotional dysregulation in childhood and adolescence and to the problem of suicidal risk.
The authors describe the characteristics of depression in childhood and adolescence reporting the state
of the art with respect to the current needs of care and therapy with reference also to pharmacological
therapy. |
